INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN AND DELIVERY - High School
We are looking for High school interns to serve on our IDD team who share our passion for technology, education, and equality. It is a 5 hour commitment per week initially and a ground-floor opportunity to gain professional experience and help build something worthwhile.
Instructional Design Internship
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Help influence 24/7 Teach's strategy and instructional content
Support the development of 24/7 Teach's Project based learning curriculum and interactive learning experiences
Learn our instructional design and online teaching methods
Participate in company wide professional development initiatives
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
Our internships are focused on education development, 21st-century skill mastery, leadership development, and analytical thinking. Additional trainings include:
Instructional Design in the Modern era
How to research and evaluate online curriculum
Evaluation of Assessments
How to create an effective Assessment
How to create an effective project
Digitizing Instructional content
REQUIREMENTS
You are between the ages of 16 and 19
You can invest at least 5 hours a week into the internship for 12 or 24 weeks
You have access to a computer or smart device and the ability to work remotely
You have knowledge of MS Office or Google Docs
You have a proven interest in the field of the internship
You have a burning desire to succeed and be great in anything you do
You have access to the Internet
You have a firm grasp of the English Language
Your Minimum GPA is a 3.0 out 4 point scale, B average
You are able to provide valid work documentation as required
You have a burning desire to go to college, start a business, or start a career
You are a self starter, self-motivated, and can work independently Have experience or coursework in marketing and/or web technology.
Be technology literate. Tech geeks welcome!
Be a fast learner with a good attitude.
Experience with social media sites, specifically Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (additional knowledge of other channels a plus)
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
A passion for tutoring or helping instructional content areas, education, education technology
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google for Work Suite
Interest in educational technologies, innovative business models, and digitization of education
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to set priorities and manage expectations, time management
Positive team player with comfort with ambiguity and proactive approach to problem-solving
Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
Detail-oriented
Ability to produce and progress an agenda autonomously, without frequent direction or check-ins
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
24/7 Teach Interns are challenged to add value to projects and are encouraged to take risks, and think outside of the box. We invest in our interns by providing them with clear direction and leadership for a robust and rewarding experience. Our Interns do not serve as assistants, work on projects that directly generate revenue for the organization, and do not displace regular employees.
This is a tremendous opportunity for students to gain start-up and general business experience, improve their specific technical skill sets, and help build something that will have a great social impact.
