College Counseling Scholarship Program Rules and Regulations:

  • Overview

The College Counseling Scholarship Program (the "Program") is designed to provide financial assistance and support to eligible students seeking college counseling services. The Program aims to empower students with the necessary knowledge, resources, and guidance to achieve their academic and career goals. To maintain eligibility for the Program, students must adhere to the following rules and regulations.

  • Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Program, students must:

(a) Be enrolled in a high school or equivalent educational institution; (b) Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Program's application process; (c) Maintain a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale; (d) Submit a completed Program application, including any required essays and recommendations, by the specified deadline.

  • Behavior Requirements

Students participating in the Program are expected to exhibit exemplary behavior, both in and out of the counseling sessions. This includes:

(a) Treating all Program staff, fellow students, and other individuals with respect, courtesy, and professionalism; (b) Refraining from engaging in any form of bullying, harassment, discrimination, or any other conduct that may disrupt the Program or create a hostile environment; (c) Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and school policies, including those relating to academic integrity, substance abuse, and technology usage; (d) Reporting any incidents of misconduct or violations of these rules and regulations to the appropriate Program staff.

  • Attendance Requirements

Attendance is crucial to the success of the Program and the student's overall progress. Students must:

(a) Attend all scheduled counseling sessions, workshops, seminars, and other Program-related activities unless an absence is pre-approved by the Program staff or due to a documented emergency or illness; (b) Arrive on time for all scheduled activities and remain engaged throughout the duration of the event; (c) Notify the Program staff in advance if they are unable to attend a scheduled activity, providing a valid reason for their absence; (d) Make up any missed sessions or assignments, as directed by the Program staff, within a specified timeframe. If you miss two consecutive sessions or three sessions in total, you will be automatically removed from the program.

  • Academic Performance

Students are expected to maintain a strong academic performance throughout their participation in the Program. This includes:

(a) Actively working towards achieving their academic and career goals, as outlined in their individualized college counseling plan; (b) Regularly updating the Program staff on their academic progress, including any changes in GPA, course selection, or extracurricular activities; (c) Seeking assistance from the Program staff or other available resources if they encounter any challenges or difficulties in their academic pursuits.

  • Program Evaluations and Feedback

To ensure the continuous improvement of the Program, students are required to:

(a) Participate in periodic evaluations and surveys, providing honest and constructive feedback on their experience with the Program; (b) Attend any scheduled meetings or events designed to gather feedback and discuss the Program's effectiveness; (c) Communicate any concerns, suggestions, or ideas for improvement to the Program staff in a timely and respectful manner.

  • Termination of Scholarship

Failure to comply with these rules and regulations may result in the termination of the student's scholarship and removal from the Program. The Program staff will review any alleged violations and determine the appropriate course of action on a case-by-case basis. Students may also be subject to additional disciplinary measures, as deemed necessary by the student's school or educational institution.

By participating in the College Counseling Scholarship Program, students acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these rules and regulations.
